I am Melania, founder of Mel Ibiza, a natural cosmetics brand dedicated to the handmade manufacture of sustainable cosmetic products as an alternative to conventional cosmetics.

Mel Ibiza was born from environmental awareness, the belief in the benefits of natural products and the need to reduce the environmental impact of our time on the planet.

Our products are made with ingredients from local and organic crops, thus promoting local production and reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible.

Among them we can find organic olive oil from Joan Benet , Agua de mar de Ibiza and Formentera Agua de Mar , organic wine from Bodegas Can Rich , Aloe vera from Aloe bio de Formentera plants from the organic farms Tierra de Ibiza and Sànima .

ARTISAN

Our laboratory is located in the municipality of San Antonio, Ibiza, BALEARIC ISLANDS.

The manufacturing process is completely handmade and does not produce waste that is harmful to the environment at any time in the production chain.

There is no type of mechanization at any time during production. One by one, we make, wrap and label them manually, so each piece is unique and special.

We make natural cosmetics with the aim of reducing the consumption of energy resources and raw materials.

We are committed to minimalist cosmetics made from natural and organic ingredients and do not contemplate the use of polluting active ingredients that compromise our health and that of the planet in our formulas.

SUSTAINABLE

At Mel Ibiza we apply the "ZERO waste" movement, which consists of reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible all the unnecessary consumption of plastic packaging and packaging.

In addition, 80% of our products are presented in a solid format, thus reducing the consumption of plastic packaging and unnecessary water.

Our products in liquid format are presented in reusable glass containers.

Authorized cosmetic laboratory

The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) endorses the production of Mel Ibiza products as an authorized cosmetic manufacturer. The origin of the ingredients used and the artisanal processes are subjected to rigorous control. The analysis of all batches in the laboratory guarantees the highest quality of the products and their safe use for the skin.

  • Our illusion is linked to a great management effort to cover expenses and comply with the parameters established in the official regulation: Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Cosmetic Products.

    Just as Mel Ibiza produces a guaranteed quality product within the established regulations, we ensure that the final consumer is well informed to continue sharing this responsibility.

  • Mel Ibiza has the artisan letter granted by the Consell d'Eivissa , recognized as an Ibiza artisan in the cosmetics manufacturing trade. We are proud to have a distinction that endorses the artisan methods by which we make our products, assuring our customers a truly artisan and local product.

  • Mel Ibiza is also awarded as the best entrepreneurial project 2022 in the INGENION entrepreneurs forum organized by the Santa Eulària des riu City Council , in Ibiza. It is an honor to have this recognition that drives us and motivates us enormously to continue growing sustainably.

  • Olive oil

    The base of our soaps is organic virgin olive oil from Joan Benet, an oil mill located in the Benimussa valley (Ibiza), which extracts the oil from the olives through a cold grinding process. This form of production allows the essence and properties of a high-quality olive rich in vitamin E to be fully preserved, which provides excellent benefits to the skin.

  • aromatic and flowers

    Rosemary, lavender, thyme, calendula, chamomile... are just a small selection of the aromatic herbs and flowers that we use in the manufacture of our products. These plants come from organic crops in Ibiza such as Tierra de Ibiza and Sànima Herbs, which have the CBPAE organic certification.

  • Seawater

    The sea water we use comes from Ibiza and Formentera Agua de mar, a family business that extracts it in the open sea and offers high quality and pure water that provides great benefits for the health of our skin.

  • Red wine

    Red wine from Can Rich wineries, a quality wine with organic certification and recognized as a wine from the Land of Ibiza. Wine is rich in polyphenols that provide great antioxidant properties to our skin.

  • Sea salt

    From Sal Torres, a company dedicated to grinding salt from the Salinas de Ibiza Natural Park . Following the traditional style, the salt is dried in the sun, crushed in a stone mill and packaged by hand.

  • Aloe Vera

    From Aloe bio de Formentera, a small company that has an organic aloe vera plantation located on the island of Formentera, between Sant Francesc and Es Cap.
